This Privacy Notice explains how Aaron Molina’s portfolio website handles information when you browse the site or use the AI portfolio chat. The chat is for general questions about Aaron Molina’s public portfolio. It is not a private, confidential, or secure communication channel.

Website analytics and traffic measurement

This website uses third-party analytics and traffic measurement services to understand how visitors use the site, monitor performance, and improve its content and experience. These services may collect information such as pages viewed, links or referrals that brought you to the site, browser and device information, approximate location, IP address or a derivative of it, and interaction or performance data.

Analytics services may use cookies or similar technologies to recognize browsers, measure visits, and report aggregate usage. The website is not intended to use analytics data to identify you personally.

Information processed when you use the chat

When you send a message through the chat, your message and relevant earlier messages from the current conversation are sent to OpenAI, the AI provider currently used to generate a response. If the AI provider changes, this notice will be updated.

To operate, secure, diagnose, and review the chat, the site may record your message, the generated response, timestamps, model and usage details, request status, and a hashed version of your IP address. These records are stored in Neon, a hosted database service.

Do not submit sensitive information

Do not send personal, confidential, financial, health, account, password, government-issued ID, or other sensitive information through the chat. The chat is not intended for confidential communications.

If you have a private matter to discuss, do not use the chat. Contact Aaron directly instead.

How information is used

Information processed through the chat may be used to:

• Generate a response to your question.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce chat limits.
• Diagnose errors, monitor usage, and improve the portfolio chat.
• Meet applicable legal obligations and protect the site and its users.

Service providers

The chat currently uses OpenAI to process messages and generate answers, Neon to store chat audit records, and Netlify to host the site and its server functions. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.

Your choice and acknowledgement

By using the chat, you acknowledge that your messages will be processed as described in this notice and agree not to submit private or sensitive information. If you do not agree, do not use the chat.

To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Aaron Molina is not responsible for private or sensitive information that you voluntarily submit through the chat.

This notice may be updated when the chat or its service providers change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
